OPEN WATER SWIM TEST
All campers will be required to pass a preliminary swim test shortly
after check in. Campers must pass the swim test to attend the camp session.
In order for each camper to get the most out of Camp Wake all campers need
to be proficient swimmers and comfortable in open water. Camp Wake is all
about being in, on or near the water. We do not teach swimming lessons!
This test will be performed while parents are still present.
Campers will be asked to perform the following in
open water:
- Swim approximately 25 yards in freestyle stroke (one length of a lap pool)
- Tread water for approximately 3 minutes
The swim test is for the safety of our campers.
Please do not attend Camp Wake if you do not know how to swim.
